Happy New Year!

First of all, I wish everyone a successful, joyful, exciting, and self-advancing new year!

The year barely started and two great young film-makers already asked me to be camera operator on their projects. I worked before with both of them, and I'm excited to help them again.

I wish I could link in projects I worked on but due to festival rules their works cannot get wide exposure. I have to find time to build a reel for myself!

Welcome to Hydra! - Let the career begin!

After months of applying to all sorts of companies I finally started working today as a DEVELOPMENT INTERN at Hydra Entertainment / The Third Floor Previs Studio.  I'm really excited about this opportunity. Everyone seems nice, and I love that I can access material in the oven, and even if I'm not the chef, I can say "something's burning" :)

It's a wrap!

Tonight we wrapped the project 'Last Night' which I can't wait to see on the big screen. This was my first project where I was trusted as a DP and had access to semi-professional equipments and had people work for me under my command. It was a very good experience, and it was great to see people being more than happy with my work and my attitude. Of course, work is not done yet. Post is coming, and I'll try to help Stina, the director with my inputs on the final look of the pictures. Hopefully I'll be able to share the film here shortly :)

More projects

I barely settled again after two months of absence from L.A. (I moved to a new apartment when I got back), and I keep getting requests for projects. Seems like I'm already booked until the end of the year.

Kate Whitney and Alexis Hellot are wishing to make use of my talent again (good to have returning customers), and I'm excited to work with a few people I haven't worked with before but I've known them for a while. I'll do set photography on one project, and DP-ing on three. So far I'm talking about FIVE projects (for one my role is not assigned yet), and I'm also hoping to pull my production together this year. With all the heavy load in school it will be tough, but I can handle it :)

Back to the U.S., back to school

The summer is over... well, at least for me it's over. Back to school. This is gonna be my last semester before I can work. I'm earning my Cinema Production Certificate this semester, then I can work for a year legally within the so-called OPT program. I'm really hoping to find an internship this semester at a company where I can keep on working the next year, and they might sponsor me for even longer term.
